My Worst Nightmare!!!

A couple days ago I decided to go running with Livy, for the first time in several months(don't judge). We were sitting by the door about the go, and I started putting on my shoes. I was about to tie them, when I noticed my left shoe had some kind of big piece of lint or something pressed against my toes. I took my shoe off to shake it out, and a GIANT SPIDER fell out!!! It was still alive, but I think I smashed it a little bit, because it wasn't moving around much. Livy was facing me in her car-seat, and I was screaming which made Livy start crying. After panting and freaking our for a few moments, I put on my rainboots (both of course, because I didn't want to miss and have it crawl over my foot, ugh yuck)and squished it.

It was seriously traumatic. Maybe now, Landon understands why I always check my towel for spiders when I get out of the shower. I guess I wasn't being paranoid after all. I have been a little hesitant when putting on clothing, getting into drawers or storage containers, and especially putting on shoes since the indecent. Landon said he would check all my shoes, so I didn't have to. What a gem. Anyway, it was pretty scary, but I wasn't bitten, and even though I haven't slept very well the last couple nights, I am feeling somewhat braver about the whole spider issue. Oh Seattle, your only flaw.

Here he is. Huge right! And just so you know, that is one of those big stamps, and our hard wood floor panels are about 2 inches in width. So scary.

Skiing with my dearest

Over Christmas break, Landon took me to Alta to go skiing for the first time ever! It was so beautiful. Although we love Seattle, there is nothing quite like Utah's dry winter air and epic mountains. I didn't even mind my rosy numb cheeks and frozen fingers.
We had so much fun, we decided to go again a couple days later. Landon was a great teacher, and I loved going with him. It was kind of scary and a little difficult to slow down at times, but Landon was very sweet and patient. Thanks Land. I could tell he was a real pro and can't wait to do more difficult runs with him someday, so I can see how good he really is! What a dream.

Livy's first time...

visiting the Seattle Zoo

building a snowman and making a snow angel

swimming

bowling

visiting Temple Square

painting with cousins

We had a great winter, but we can't wait for Spring!

Papa and Grandma Jones

While we were in Utah, Livy loved seeing Papa and Grandma. Grandma was so great, and so willing to watch and play with the squish. Livy loved it, and I loved all the naps. Thanks!

Livy also started her first job over the break. She became Papa's secretary and was very helpful. You know, with answering the phones and faxing documents, just secretary stuff. And a little bit of scratching Papa's keyboard and tearing papers. She couldn't get enough.

She can't wait to see Papa and Grandma next month! She actually sort of said Papa last night. I mean it was faint, but we could definitely make it out.
Love you guys!
