We spent Thanksgiving at my parents house and we had such a great time. It was fun seeing mom and dad, Dave and Tiff's family, Scott and Tiff's family, Ryan, and Becky. We enjoyed watching the kids play the x box connect(way too funny), talking to Siri(she might be the start of a nanobot revolution, but she sure is witty), and watching several heated games of settlers.(I try to play, but I just can't get into it. Its fun to see how crazy and competitive everyone gets though) We even went to a fun burger place called the thrifty Scotsman. We both had a greasy stomachache after, but it was worth it.

Like usual Livy loved seeing everyone. She especially loves Becky and likes to snuggle with my Dad. She can't get enough of that football. It's cute, she is always so calm with Dad and could sit with him for hours. She also kept holding hands with Katelyn. At one point, we picked her up to put her down, and when she let go of Katelyn's hand she started crying. Too precious.

We also loved the Thanksgiving feast! It was delectable, as always. Thanks Mom! I am always so impressed by my mom when we go home to visit. She is so on top of things and makes sure that everyone is taken care of and comfortable. Thanks for always looking after us Mom. You're the best!

It was a great weekend, and a great break for Landon. This week Landon is finishing finals and we are so excited for a 2 1/2 week Christmas break! It is definitely much needed. We can't wait to see you all!

Scott also took some great pictures of us. Thanks Scottie! What a pro, right!

Oh we decorated the Christmas tree too. This has always been one of my favorite family traditions, and its always fun to see the old ornaments we each crafted!

Here are just a few of my ornaments. I always though I was artistic when I was little, but maybe I hadn't quite reached that stage when I made these. I was innovative though right? I think I could have made an ornament out of anything.

I'll write a post about putting up our tree soon, and more of our Christmas festivities! Happy Christmas!!

Rice Cereal and Bath Time!

Livy started eating rice cereal last week. She is starting to like it much more(after I mixed it with formula...so needy),but she's still getting the hang of being spoon fed. I love when she tries to grab my hands to get it into her mouth faster. She is so fun, and so determined.

I also took some pictures of bath time. Adorbs right? And who doesn't love that little bum!?!

The little Doll

Here are a few pictures of Livy from the last couple weeks. She is too cute for words. What a little squish.

Every time I put this hat on Livy, she makes a grouchy face. Sorry liver, we don't want you to freeze.

We sure love her.

Sorry this is a little late, but here is a little post about how we spent Halloween this year. I was really excited about trunk-or-treat, because I really wanted to do something and I love seeing trick-or-treaters, but I got sick. Prior to feeling ill, I was worried about not having enough candy, so I bought a ton, to cover our neighborhood and trunk-or-treat. We had no more than 5 trick-or-treaters, so we tried to give them as much as we could, but we were left with way too much. Lets just say, my sweet tooth has gotten much much worse.
Anyway, I still made our Halloween costumes because I was so excited to, even though we didn't really go anywhere. I few weeks before Halloween I bought Livy a banana costume because it was too adorable, and Landon thought of doing a family banana split. It was fun, and here is how it turned out.

We also had a spooky Halloween dinner. Mwah ha ha ha ha!!!

What the? Forked eyeballs? Worms for dinner? And Tomato Basil Soup with Ghostie paninis? Terrifying, but delicious. Okay and I got a little carried away with the spider webs, buts its Halloween right? So fun. It turned out pretty good, but the texture of the jello worms even grossed me out a little. Landon wouldn't even eat them. A little too slimy.

Hope you had a Happy Halloween!

Weekend with the Joneses: Day 3

Sorry I have taken so long to finish this series of posts. I also wanted to include, on day two Landon and I doubled with Jenn and Landon's friend for a date to Piecoras(pizza) and it was really fun, and tasty. It was fun to spend time with Jenn, and when we got home it was fun talking with Jenn, Landon's parents, and Tyson and Sami about dating, roommates, and drama. I think the best advice I can give to a college student is, don't do anything your roommates tell you too do, that should save you sending way too many texts you didn't really mean. Oh living with 6 girls, you hate it, but you love it. Being married is way way better. ha ha, but I really did love college, and my roommates.

Now here is what we did our final day of our weekend with the Jones.

1. We went to Alki beach that morning and it was so pretty standing on the beach in front of the water. We were planning on seeing this lighthouse below, but it was closed, unfortunately. I kept thinking about my mom. She grew up constantly spending time at the beach in New Hampshire and loves lighthouses. Sorry I couldn't get any pictures for you mom, well at least of the lighthouse. The view we could see was beautiful.

While on the beach we took several family photos, oh memories.

This is me after unzipping Livy out of my jacket. We forgot the carrier, so I held her in my jacket and it actually seemed pretty cozy.

Landon and his Dad skipping rocks, a couple of pros.

2. After the beach, we enjoyed shakes, burgers, and fries at Dick's. Cameron enjoyed sitting in the back of the Subaru with Livy and me, and we shared my shake. Oh Cameron, we miss you. Too adorable.

Cam and Land in their BYU blue. Rah Rah Rah Rah Rah Gooooooooo Cougars!

3. Later that night, we went to Spaghetti factory to celebrate Jeannine's past birthday and Tyson's upcoming. We always love the Spaghetti factory with the Joneses. Since I was pregnant, that's the only spaghetti I like, I really need to learn how to make their meat sauce. Anyway, thanks Layne and Jeannine. We love and miss you guys already...can't wait for Christmas!

Peace, Love, and Layne Jones

This is just a little post for Pa Pa. Livy misses you very much and she cannot wait to see you guys this Christmas!! She told me to post these pictures!

Also, here are some pictures from Layne's Sprint Triatholon this last summer. We loved being a part of it. It was so fun and exciting and if you didn't already hear he's a medalist, yeah he medal-ed. He really did an amazing job and we are all so proud of him!

Love you Papa!

Coming soon: Weekend with the Jones's: Day 3, and a Halloween post...Mwah Ha Ha Ha!!!

Natalie and the Glory Days

Yesterday one of my very best friends, Natalie Christensen, went into the MTC(Missionary Training Center) She has chosen to go on a mission for our church to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Taiwan. I talk more about what a mission is in a post about my brother.

I know Natalie will be a wonderful missionary, she has so much concern for people and always tries to be the best person she can be. We always joke about how motherly Natalie is. When we were roommates, with Caitlin and Katrina(best un-married year ever, Landon calls them the glory days...ha ha) Natalie always made sure I was safe and in bed at a reasonable time. If I was out really late, sometimes she would text me to make sure I was okay(sweetest ever) or if I fell asleep on the couch, floor, in the hallway, stretched out between two beds, or any other place, she would make sure I made it to my bed. One time I woke up in the middle of the night when some crazy alarm went off, that I never use, and I was terrified, acting crazy, and kind of breathing hard. I guess I just woke up really abruptly and it scared me pretty bad. Natalie was so sweet, she came over to me, calmed me down, and even gave me a kiss on the top of the head, besties right. She was always so motherly, especially when she had just woken up.

She also has always been so kind and willing to serve at any time, I mean I don't know how many times she took me to the store or helped me complete something I was stressing out about. And she really is the sweetest ever. Natalie always made me feel so good about myself. She is so uplifting and makes you feel like you are the greatest, sweetest, most funny, most thoughtful, most stylish person ever. And she is so genuine. I really miss her a lot.

Natalie is also totally fun. Natalie is so funny and I always love spending time with her. I love how honest she is, especially about potentially awkward or embarrassing things involving her. She always has something so hilarious/embarrassing to share that had recently happened. There were so many times I would walk into the Moa and she would say something like, "I don't have a lot of time to talk, but later I have to tell you something that happened to me today, so embarrassing!"

One time, during the glory days, the roommates and I decided we would go to our ward's(our church group) opening social or family night together. We get there, and it was kind of weird. We were sitting in the bishop's front yard, in a circle, nobody looked familiar, then all of sudden, Caitlin leans over to me and says, "I don't think this is our ward!" Oh man it was so funny, we had already been to church twice, the bishop's really did look similar! We slowly got up, grabbed a brownie, said we had to leave early, and got out of there. We spent the rest of the night sharing a giant plate of nachos at El Azteca and listening to Tiny Dancer on the way home, oh the glory days.

Caitlin's wedding, and Katrina being awesome.

Oh this is just the bestie roommates at Caitlin's bridal shower.

Hanging out in the kitchen, like we usually were, while J-boy and Caitlin were probably trying to have some alone time.

And all the good times with Allison too, Allison became part of the glory days midway through the year and her, Natalie and I became such close pals. I mean, who could forget that summer i nannied, when Allison, Natalie, and Trevor all came over and we would always hang out in my room, because I didn't really have an apartment. It was so fun, like the time we watched seven pounds together and maybe I cried at the end. Don't worry I didn't forget about you Trev-man, Natalie and I would always talk about how awesome you were and are, and how we hoped you liked us and weren't just annoyed about how crazy and loud we were all the time. Or the time when you guys came to visit me when I was nannying for my sister in laws sister, best friends ever!
Oh and we can't forget about all the sleepovers at her parents house in the basement, we always joked that it was like we were still in high school. Thanks to Natalie's parents for being understanding, we were always way too loud.

On our round trip together, when we never found the sun tunnels. Bummer.

trevor took these 3 above. what a pro. Visit his blog to see how awesome he is.

Natalie is not in this one, but I really love this picture of Trevor and me.

I also would have to include Steve and Ariel, and don't worry your totally included too Matt, it was wonderful to have you guys there the night before we moved. We feel so lucky to have such great besties. Neils and Trevor too, thanks for coming.

I am so happy to have such kind, real, and genuine friends. Natalie and so many others have really felt like family to me. And Landon and I always talk about how much we miss you guys. Here is just a little reminiscing about Natalie. Totes the sweetest ever.
